We take you to Kosterhavet Marine National Park with our ship m/s Sara.

Kosterhavet Marine National Park is situated on the west coast of Sweden on the border to Norway, and our ship is stationed 150 kilometres north of Gothenburg and 150 kilometres south of Oslo in the city of Strömstad.

During the summer period 29 June – 8 August m/s Sara will depart from the Northern Harbour (Torget) in Strömstad. You do not need to book in advance but if you want to be sure to get a seat please book online.

Alaska        Every day except Tuesday and Saturday at 11:00, 12:00, 13:00 and 15:00. A roundtrip ticket is 140.- SEK. Family ticket (2 adults with children) 330.- SEK. Entrance fee to Alaska is 50.- SEK for adults, children free. The trip to Alaska takes about 20 minutes.

Come with us to the fantastic and mythical garden created by Hilma Svevdahl who went to Alaska to look for gold. You will be guided among a garden full of flowers to see Hilma’s towers, benches, walls etc all made by stone and sea shells. You can relax at beautiful beaches or eat something at the café.

Mackerel fishing       Monday and Friday at 17:00. Price 350.- SEK including fishing rod. Departure from the Northern Harbour (Torget) in Strömstad. Wednesday departure from Capri (10 kilometres north of Strömstad) at 17:30.

We enjoy the evening sun while trying to get the briskly mackerel. The tour takes around 3 hours.

Kosterhavet Marine National Park with underwater sea viewer  Saturday at 10:00.We also make land at Ekenäs and both south and north of the Koster Strait at 11:00. This guided tour takes about 4 hours. Price 250.- SEK, children under the age of 4 no charge.

You will have a unique tour around Kosterhavet Marine National Park and its archipelago with m/s Sara. In the Koster Strait we will drop our underwater video camera to see the marine life. Enjoy the marine life on the screens in our comfortable saloon. On board you can buy refreshments or perhaps a glass of wine.

Ursholmen (the most westerly lighthouse in Sweden)   Tuesdays at 10:00, also departures from South and North Koster at 11:00. NB! We will stay at Ursholmen for 2 hours. Price from Strömstad 250.- SEK, from Koster 140.- SEK, family ticket (2 adults and children) 600.- SEK from Strömstad and 360.- SEK from Koster. The tour takes around 4-5 hours.

We go through the Koster Strait and guide you through the archipelago to Ursholmen. While visiting the lighthouse you will have a fantastic view over the sea and archipelago. Don’t forget to pay a visit to the small museum in one of the lighthouse keeper cottages. Also enjoy the silence and listen to the sea while you take a swim among the rocks.

Seal safaris in Kosterhavet Marine National Park      Departure Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 17:00. Price 200.- SEK, family ticket (2 adults and children) 410.- SEK.  The tour takes around 2,5 hours.

We go through the Koster Strait to see our seal colony. Here we can see them sunbathing and swimming around the ship.

During the autumn 2010 we arrange lobster safaris

The coming autumn the lobster fishing season begins September 27. Come with us on board m/s Sara and experience a thrilling lobster fishing every Saturday throughout October. We go to the Koster Fjord, take up our cages and hopefully we will find both lobsters, crabs, starfishes and perhaps one or another Norway lobster. You will be served fresh Koster shrimps and something to drink on board. Guiding is included. Later, when we make land, we will prepare the lobster and you will get one lobster each.
